Vosges, 1916, Christmas night, on the front lines during the Great War.
Was the historic truce between the French and the Germans truly what we believe it was...?
About the project
This film is set during World War I, in the trenches of Verdun in 1916. Two soldiers from opposing sides encounter Santa Claus, who has crash-landed, and they join forces to help him repair his sleigh. The music reflects the tension of war, darkening the mood at the beginning.
It then highlights the bond formed between the two soldiers as they briefly reconnect with a precious sense of peace. The score concludes on a grand note with Santa’s majestic takeoff, bringing the magic that drives the film.
