SYNOPSIS
Roald is a cheerful anthropomorphic toad who sees life in the cutest, most colorful, and fun way possible. Today is his birthday, and he hopes to impress his many guests. Unfortunately, no one shows up... But suddenly, the doorbell rings, and Roald is about to meet a paranoid fly whose outlook is drastically opposite to his own.
About the project
The story contrasts two completely opposite perspectives of a meal between a frog and a fly. It alternates between the viewpoints of the two characters throughout the film. There is a first universe that is completely euphoric for the frog, with a very cartoony texture and bright colors, contrasting with an atmosphere blending horror and gore from the fly’s point of view.
The music’s challenge is to emphasize the contrast between the two worlds: it oscillates between tension and unsettling discomfort, and lightness with a noticeably exaggerated playfulness.
It supports the alternation between the two perspectives and contributes to the humor of the story.
